Aberdeen Safer Community Trust distributes grants up to a maximum of £1,500 to help community groups or individuals implement their community safety ideas. 

Our Grant committee and Executive committee meet on a regular basis to consider all applications and we endeavour to meet the needs of most of the applications made to us.

We enjoy getting your ideas and suggestions on how to tackle community safety issues in your area.

Please note, we can only consider grants that meet our aims to promote and encourage security, public safety, crime prevention and a reduced fear of crime for the benefit of the residents of Aberdeen.

 

  About our Grants
Small grants are up to a maximum of £1,000 where the maximum wait for a decision is six weeks.  For larger grants up to £1,500 the maximum wait for a decision is three months. - Please download the application for above and give details of your project and how it fits with aims.
 
Grants will be made from one of the following funds:
  • Community Grants Budget - For grants under £1,500 and falling under the Community Safety Partnerships priority areas. (Funded by the Scottish Executive)
  • Personal Safety Fund - For personal attack alarms. (Funded by Aberdeen City Council's Common Good Fund)
  • Senior Citizen Fund - Specifically for projects involving the safety of senior citizens
  • Aberdeen Community Safety Trust Grant funds - for all other projects falling within the Trust's remit

• Companies and Business Organisations

 
 

  Application deadlines For Grants (Under £1000) :

09th February 2011

04th May 2011

03rd August 2011

02nd November 2011

If you would like to apply for a grant larger than £1000 but less than £3000, you can submit your application to the Trust as soon as you are ready.
