  Emma Bellu - Chief Executive

Emma joined the Trust in 2003 and quickly became a lynchpin in the organisation.  She established a number of innovative projects designed to provide vital community safety information to young people and vulnerable groups, including ‘Older and Wiser’ and ‘CSI Aberdeen’.  After successfully running the Neighbourhood Watch programme for over 2 years Emma went on to manage the Risk Ready project which will see the construction of a state-of-the-art safety centre in Aberdeen.  In September 2009, Emma took over the position of Chief Executive when Doug Duthie retired to become a Director.  Emma graduated from Sussex University with a BSc (Hons) degree in Chemistry and Law.

  Fiona Watson - Development Manager

After a somewhat varied early career which included a few years travelling the world in the Merchant Navy, Fiona chose life ashore and spent 10 years in the oil and gas sector working in various marketing and communication roles.  She joined Aberdeen Safer Community Trust in February 2009 to work on Risk Ready, the Trust’s project to build a high-tech safety centre in Aberdeen.  In September 2009 Fiona progressed to become Development Manager for the Trust as a whole.  In the role of Development Manager, Fiona is responsible for creating the Trust’s marketing strategy and fundraising initiatives, as well as the campaign that will see the Risk Ready safety centre come to fruition. Fiona has a background in event management, marketing and corporate communication and has a Diploma in Marketing from the LCCI.
